My Puppy Application Process:

The process of deciding to add a giant breed puppy/dog to your household is not one that should be taken lightly.

With all the research and time I have put into my dogs and puppies  I want to ensure that the very best home is chosen for them.

Step 1

Ask questions

I have tons of information readily available on my site but I also love to hear from prospective puppy owners and be able to answer any questions you may have that haven't been address on any of the many tabs.

Step 2

Fill out the puppy application  (click here)

Completing the application will let me know you a bit more and the type, gender of dog you are looking to add to your home so I can better help you choose a puppy when the time comes. Filling out the application and sending it to me will place you on my waiting list, once I have spoken with your references, get, etc. You will then be notified when we are expecting puppies.

Step 3

Prepare for your puppy

There are many sites available as well as information I can provide to you to help you get prepared and gather all the supplies you will need in order to make the addition of your new family member easier.

Step 4

Picking the right puppy for you

Once the puppies have been whelped, I take the first 2 weeks for myself as this is the most critical time to ensure each puppy is growing and being cared for and receiving proper ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation). There is a lot of time that goes into them especially in these 1st 2 weeks where they are very dependent upon mom and myself. Around 10 to 14 days they begin to open their eyes and start "toddling" around. This is the time frame in which I start accepting deposits, puppies are not matched with families until 6 to 7.5 weeks of age as this is the time frame in which I will be evaluating my litter, taking note as to which puppies would suite who's needs and also evaluating fofor conformation as first and foremost I breed each litter for myself for my future show pups. Puppies do not go home until 8 to 10 weeks of age.

Step 5

The wait

This will be one of the toughest times! Being patient and waiting for that one puppy to come along that is for you (and he or she will just have to wait)! This is the best time to really get to know the breed, join Facebook groups, my favorites are Great Dane Snobs, Correct Great Dane Info. and Great Danes Q & A ( I can direct you to more but these 3 are my top favorites to go to with questions and to get more information), ask me more questions, etc.

Step 6

The final countdown!

This means that the puppies are 6 to 8 weeks old! And I am preparing them to come home to you. I start potty training, crate training. leash training and basic manners. This is the best time to go over your puppy check list make sure that you have everything you will need for your new comer.

Step 7

Bringing your new family member home!!!

The time has come to bring home your new baby. Time to schedule pickup date and time with me. One last check to make sure that you have everything you need to ensure your puppy will be safe and comfortable. And now it is time to enjoy this new bundle of snuggles and energy.

I highly recommend taking a peek at all the downloads on Speak Dog Tri-Cities website. Pnuema is co-owned by Speak Dog Tri-Cities.
